The Anomie Theory refers to the absence of ordinary social or ethical standards. Anomie
theory has always been used to explain various forms of deviance. The manifestation of Anomie
theory can be seen in the quotation from the opening of Crash in that Graham states that in Los
Angeles, there is lawlessness and nobody can be punished for their crimes. Graham also says that
it is a sense of touch to mean that people need to crash into each other so that it may act a
