Introduction

Setting the tone is the process of establishing a particular mood and character in an
organization to enhance organizational leadership (Battelle, 2017). In this sense, organizational
leadership refers to a dual-focused management strategy that aims at implementing change that
enables employees to improve their performance. Leaders enhance the attitude of employees
towards work and empower them to develop ethical values in the workplace. I have witnessed
several leadership aspects in my experience in Walmart, whereby leaders have adopted strategic
leadership to improve productivity. In this regard, this paper discusses the mission and vision,
leadership communication in the company, how leaders set the tone, and the interaction of the
staff.
