Group behavioral therapy is significant for adolescents in helping them in their cognitive
development and dealing with any form of behavioral issues. Knell (2016) explains it is a
psychiatric treatment that involves a therapist and several people. The group shares certain things
in common, which makes them interact and cooperate well with others. In a group therapy
session that was held was held on 7th December 2019, there were tremendous peer interactions
where the members were open to one another and actively participated in the group activities.
This was attributed to the similarity within the group; it consisted of people of the same peer,
teens age 10-13. Therefore, they communicated in the same way and experienced similar
challenges.
