Description
For this assignment, you reflect on the research question chosen for your Capstone Project “What impact do Extreme Risk Protection Orders have on public safety?”
and how it influences the types of data that might help answer your question, as well as the research methods that would support collecting this type of data.
The assignment must be 1 page and include:
- An explanation of the types of data that may help you answer your research question.
- Then, explain which research method might be best if you were to collect data for your Capstone Project and why.
- Support your explanation with resources from your literature review (WILL BE PROVIDED FOR REFERENCE) that discuss various research methods and analysis.

Methods, data collection, and analysis
Data is known as facts used for the basis of inference. Secondary sources of data would
best help to answer the research question, “What impact do Extreme Risk Protection Orders have
on public safety?” Secondary data has been interpreted and recorded and published in books,
journals, magazines and articles (Walliman, 2006). For this research question, secondary data
found in books and refereed journal would be appropriate as experts have reviewed...
