Choose an organization as the focus of a project proposal. The organization can be an existing company, nonprofit organization, religious organization, or governmental agency. Avoid an organization that is so large that historical data would be difficult to apply. Firms in the Russell 2000® index may fit well, whereas firms in the Dow 30 Industrial index probably do not.Select a project you would expect to occur within the organization for which you will be writing a proposal. This project proposal will include the project scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, quality assurance, and controls. Week Three Format:TARGET MARKET(Section 1)TARGET MARKET & SEGMENTATIONDemographics: Write a target market statement about who you will market your product to and make sure to clearly define the age, gender, marital status, education and income for your target then discuss these aspects. Note that age should be a range of no more than 20 years and income a range of no more than $25,000. An example of a target market statement for The Limited apparel store might be: 15- to 20-year-old girls, single with high school to college level education with family income of $75,000 - $100,000. Geographics: Define the geographic target and provide detailed geographic information on the company’s target market (not distribution – where is your target market located?(Section 2)Psychographics: Discuss the personality, values, opinions, attitudes, interests and lifestyles of your market – what elements do they have in common?Behavior Research: Using tools shared in class, research and define the market’s behavior.(Section 3)Persona Chart: Create a chart with 7-12 sections to describe different attributes of your targeted market and segments.

In your SLP for this course you will be considered a strategic management subject matter expert and will be asked to blog about important aspects of the strategic management process and to provide examples to support your key arguments based on current events pulled from recent articles from reputable sources (such as a major national news source like the NY Times, Business Week, etc.). Your main article(s) for each of your blog entries must be no older than 4 months old.  If you use an older article as your primary focal article, you will be asked to redo the assignment.  You may, of course, use older sources to support your discussion but the current event article serving as the main focus of your paper must be recent. For your first SLP discuss why the mission and vision are important in helping to shape organizational strategy and find two recent articles (no older than four months old) that provide examples of organizations that seem to be living up to (or failing at) fulfilling their mission and vision. Remember that you are playing the role of a person blogging about strategic management and the key here is to convey to the public the importance of the mission and vision statement in a strategic management context and to provide examples of organizations who do well (or poorly) in fulfilling their stated missions and visions.  Also remember to keep your discussion focused on strategic management.SLP Assignment ExpectationsYour SLP assignment should be a minimum of 3 pages in length. You are required to use APA formatting and you are required to cite and reference your sources.  There should be a minimum of three reputable sources cited and referenced in your paper.
