Human rights are the norms that describe standards of human behaviors. The issue of
human rights has being raised a lot of concern among many stakeholders. States are coming
together to come up with ways of ensuring zero violation of human rights. Human rights activist
groups and organizations have also being established to curb the problems that are related to
human rights violations. There are various issues that are a concern for human rights. One of
these issues is genocide (De Schutter, 2012)
Genocide is the intentional and systematic elimination of national, religious, racial, and
ethnic groups. There are various examples of genocide namely; the holocaust, Cambodian,
Bosnian, and Rwandan genocide among others. This has being a problem to the international
