In Aquinas's "De Ente et Essentia" (On Being an Essence) Prologue and Chapters 1-2

1.) Provide a brief description of Aquinas's project in this work. What things does he plan to accomplish, and how does he plan to go about accomplishing them?

2.) Briefly present and explain the two senses in which something can be said to be a being. How does Aquinas describe the difference between them, and what do you think he is getting at with this description?

3.)Briefly explain what an essence is for Aquinas. What are the different terms that can be used to refer to it and how are they related to each other?
