Ethical issues in corporate organizations
Ethics has been an issue of concern almost in all organizations both locally and globally, Michael
Mann the director of this thriller movie that explicitly tries to explain ethical issues in various
business fields. The main protagonist Jeff Wigand a scientist and a researcher who was once
employed by a tobacco company but had been relieved of his duties because he wants to clear his
conscience over the malpractice his superiors are engaging in, he also has a young family of two
girls and a wife. A co protagonist Lowell Bergman a journalist who works for a big broadcasting
company known as CBS and he is also the main producer of the “60 minutes” testimony of
Wigand on tobacco.
It all begins when Lowell receives a parcel in a box that contains articles about a tobacco
company that he needed someone to translate for him. He consults friends and finally lands on
