What is the Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine, and how was it used to justify imperialism?

In your opinion, which branch of the services the Army or Navy was more influential in this period of imperialism? Why?

The Roosevelt Corollary is like an agreement saying that the Western Hemisphere is off limited to Europe. Roosevelt’s words were “speak softly, but carry a big stick.” But in return the United States would not get involved with European affairs but the United States had the right to step in with its neighbors but only if nations handled their affairs with decency.

In my opinion the Navy was more influential the United States started taking control over the water, they started putting ships throughout the waters. And traveling by water was much faster than by horse, so the Navy could get to places faster and safer.
