The 19th century crucial period in United States of America, the nation experienced
tremendous transformation in the general income of the country; it was being transformed from
rural nation to an urban nation. There was steady growth of industries, steel factories and new
cities were coming up in different places in the country. Many European immigrants were
travelling to America in 1860s to tap for these opportunities, with the wages of its citizens almost
doubling. The increase in population created some issues as the cities could not have enough
housing or set rules to govern the growing population.
The construction of the railway line between 1860 and 1880 enhanced the transportation
of raw materials from the areas they were produced to the industries. The mass construction
started in 1864 and by 10th May 1869 the country opened the first railway line connecting the
