Can someone help me with the fefinition, derivation, brief concept about analogy?
Explanation & Answer
The word Analogy is derived from greek word, Analogia meaning proportion. It's basic meaning is a proportional comparison between two partially similar things. Both things might have similar meaning but their origin is not similar. Analogy is practised in order to deduce a similarity in both aspects for the purpose of clarification or justification. Analogy plays a significant role in decision making, perception, creativity and communication.
