people opposing its use, and the other side supporting its consumption. The supporters of
marijuana sensitize on its medicinal benefits to people's health. Nevertheless, cannabis has a
detrimental impact on the human body; it is deemed to be harmful to the physical, psychological,
and neurological aspects of the body. Marijuana is one of the most abused illicit drugs in the
United States that is responsible for increased crime and multiple illnesses. Nevertheless, some
people support the legalization of weed despite its effect because it is useful for recreation and
medical purposes. They find the drug has numerous health benefits, especially relieving pain,
reducing weight, and managing stress.
Franz and Frishman (159) indicate that marijuana causes several life-threatening illnesses
such as lung cancer, and heart diseases to smokers and people surrounding them. As for
psychological problems, the pot is associated with mental issues. Examples of are psychosis,
bipolar illnesses and suicidal thoughts. The primary behaviour problem of weed is promoting
crime due to its chemical composition that impairs the users' judgment. Kaplan illustrates that it
reduces one's intellectual thinking and causes disorderly behaviors, and reckless actions. It also
promotes illicit drug trading. However, they are individual that dispute the behavioural impact of
marijuana. They believe that they are multiple people who use the drug and are valuable people
