LIMITING CLIMATE CHANGE
Introduction
Over the last few years, climate change has been a major concern globally. Governments,
private sector, and environmentalists across the globe have been at the forefront in championing
the environmental conservation programs in a bid to combat climate change largely due to changes
in weather patterns that result in extreme weather conditions that threaten food production, human
and animal life. Among the major causes of climate change are human activities such as
deforestation, changes in land use, natural causes such as a change in sun orientation to the earth,
volcanic eruptions, and gas emission that lead to global warming. Though some causes are natural
and people main not be able to control them, some causes such as global warming can be avoided
by the use of technology such as carbon capture storage that harnesses carbon dioxide. Global
warming is caused by an increased level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that trap sun
radiation when bouncing off the heart surfaces leading to increased temperatures that have led
flooding and severe drought, among other adverse effects. Therefore, climate change can be
prevented by limiting global warming.
Problem statement
Having favorable climatic conditions are important for human existence. When there are
favorable weather conditions, food and cash crops and other plants grow. Which are important for
our survival because they provide food, among other things. However, the worrying issue is that,
all over the globe, there is climate change marked by changes in weather patterns, increased
temperatures, and hotter heat waves. According to NASA reports the earth is becoming warmer
and warmer by the year, and their research finding shows the hottest years in the history of
humankind have occurred since the year 2000 (Stapelfeldt, 2016). Increased temperatures lead to
the melting of ice, heavy rainfall, and severe drought that has hampered farming, livestock keeping

and caused the destruction of property. Therefore, it is imperative to put necessary efforts to
combat climate change to avoid disasters associated with it by the use of technology. Technologies
such as Carbon Capture Systems, use of electric cars, use of nuclear power technology help reduce
the number of greenhouse gases in the air, thus combating climate, which limits climate change.
Background information
Fighting climate change is significant in preventing severe weather conditions that disrupt
people, animals, and plants. Favorable climatic conditions favor farming activities. Also, they
