Abstract
The research paper shows a tragedy that transpires as a result similar system archetype using
Nigeria’s Niger Delta region oil pollution. The study is divided into several subtopics that
elaborate in details about the topic in question. The introduction chapter elaborates geographical
details of the region and the magnitude of oil pollution. Other chapters that follow explain the
dynamic that apply while referencing model archetype methodology that illustrates the problem
of a specified location. Model diagrams and simulations are developed using Vensim software
and Insight maker. The model shows the stakeholders activities in oil exploration whose interest
are contrary to the large society. The parties are polluting the environment at a higher rate which
warrants concerns for current and future generations’ sustainability. Application of the system
archetype assists to make better decisions by coming up with creative solutions that bring about
understanding to parties involved on socio-economic exploration.
