A fallacy is an error in reasoning. And this means that any mistake made while reasoning
results in a fallacy. Moreover, causation is an act of causing something to happen. Correlation,
on the other hand, is a statistical technique that shows the relationship between variables. It is
obvious that the two terms are different hence confusing the two would be an error in reasoning.
An example of a statement is that weight and height are directly proportional. Meaning an
increase in height increases weight. This reasoning is wrong since the statement tries to explain
that height causes an increase in weight. However, height and weight are two variables that have
an imperfect relationship according to correlation.

Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy. Over the years, there has been a serious debate
about the morality of abortion. Morally abortion has widely been considered unethical since the
action depicts the termination of a life. In most states in the USA, abortion has been made illegal,
and this implies that any individuals caught having an abortion will be apprehended. The claim,
in this case, is that abortion is morally wrong and should be made illegal. This implies that
abortion is widely unacceptable, and therefore the law has to make the practice unlawful. ...
