Describe the differences between dispositional and evolutionary or biological personality
There have been many advancements recorded in the last few decades about personality. Many
scholars have kept on reviewing and revising the theories (Kaztaevna et al. 2015). Models have
been proposed to that keep expanding the knowledge of different personalities. Among the
many different theories of personality there are two most prudent and outstanding theories i.e.
biological also known as evolutionary and dispositional theories. Biological theories give an
explanation from a perspective of inheritance and genes (Harun & Alias, 2015). On the other hand,
dispositional theories give focus to how unique an individual is, the traits that make a person
different from the other people in term s of how they react to stimulants in their environments.
Differences between dispositional and biological theories.
Gordon Allport was the main proposer of the dispositional theories. On the other hand,
biological theories were mainly put forth by Charles Darwin. Dispositional theories are
individual centered while biological theories are based on scientific research on the human
