Discuss why it is remarkable to have a choreographer work in ballet, broadway and film.
Since Robbins, many choreographers currently work in all of these areas how do you think
that this affects the training for choreographers?
The choreographer becomes informed of the details of the story and how to integrate them
in the moves. They create a unique story which fits in the characters in the dance. It affects the
training of the choreographers since it becomes more complex and complicated. They are required
to focus on all the three areas and give them equal attention. They need to make their characters
play specific roles which the audience should believe.
Do you think that it is still relevant to audiences today to perform ballets from the past?
Why or why not?
