What is information governance?
Information governance refers to an all-inclusive way of approaching and managing
corporate information by way of implementation of processes, controls, metrics, and roles that
can treat information just like any other business valuable asset (Smallwood, 2019). The main
objective or goal of this approach is to make information available for anyone who wants to
access it in the process of restructuring management, minimizing the storage costs and ensuring
that there is compliance. This will, therefore, help the organization reduce lawful risks that are
