Basically, you treat the inequality much like you would an equality (i.e., solve it just like you would if there were an "=" in place of the "<"

Example:  2x < 8-4(2-x)

Thus, 2x < 8-8+4x

2x < 4x

0 < 2x

Thus, 0 < x   (or, stated in reverse order, x > 0)
