Introduction
The rise of the Roman Empire can be traced back from the beginning in the eighth century B.C.
The Roman Empire developed from an unknown town on central Italy's Tiber River into a precious
and strongest empire that encompassed many empires across Europe, Western Asia, Britain, and
Northern Africa. The Roman Empire was categorically dominated by the widespread use of
Romance languages, Modern Western Calendar, and the rise of Christianity as the primary world
religion. The prowess of the Roman Empire can be traced back to approximately 450 years of
being a republic in the first century, when Julius Caesar successfully executed military takeover.
The first emperor, Augustus, who is regarded as the longest and triumphant reigning emperor,
created a golden legacy of peace and prosperity. However, during the fifth century A.D, the
emperor faced a disastrous crumbling and defeats by enemies, causing its declination and falling.
Origins of Rome
According to MacMullen, Rome was established by the god of war in 753 B.C. (2019). A king
residing near Alba Longa later dumbed Rome into the River Tiber to drown. Rome was rescued
by a free-roaming She-wolf. The twin son of Mars lived to defeat the king and established their
town on the river banks in 753 B.C. Romulus after killing Remus, who was installed as the first
king of Rome (MacMullen, 2019).
During 509 B.C., the seventh king, Lucius Tarquinius cruelty and tyrannical rulings were
overthrown, bringing an end to monarchy system in Rome. The cruelty and immoral conduct by
