Before 1935 a computer was a person who performed arithmetic calculations. Between 1935 and 1945 the definition referred to a machine, rather than a person. The modern machine is based on "von Neumann's" concept. A device that accepts input, processes data, stores data, and produces output. A "colussus" a vacuum tube computing machine which broke Hitlers codes during WW II. This was in 1940, then in 1951 the punch card technology was invented  as the first successfully commercial computer. Then in 1969 the Internet was invented as a military computer notwork. Then in 1976 the apples/macs were invented. Then in 1992 Bill Gates CEO of the Microsoft Corp. released windows 3.1 as a operating system which was compatible for IBM for PC's.

Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
