1.) In order to remake modern art, to what did Johns and Rauschenberg turn?
In order to remake modern art Robert Rauschenberg turned to diverse media which in part
includes photography and performance. He pioneered this and it is still being used or pursued to
date, in fact it is most basic form of art today. Every artist today studies his experiment. Jasper
Johns on the other hand turned to the conceptualization of objects and isolation of things as a
form of art which is also being pursued to date. To put it simply modern art owes a debt to these
two because for pioneering these forms of art and the achievements they have made so far.
