You must use our selected play listed on course schedule

2. You may choose your "mask," taking the role of ONE of the following:

  • Actor
  • Designer
  • Director

3. READ!!!! The page that has all the instructions it is located in this module stated final project resources and documents!!! I can not STRESS this enough! In this module are the detailed instructions for each of these roles. Click on the instructions document for the mask you chose, and get started!

4. Also you will find links for additional paperwork right below those documents.

5. When you've finished all the parts of your final project, be sure to submit it as an attachment to this assignment. It is best to use word document or a powerpoint to organize your final project.

The exception to this is the Actor. I need the video file or a youtube link and your character analysis separate. Putting the videos in other types of documents slows them down and makes it hard to open.

Note this project is 200 points- do not give me a 50 point project.

THE 1130 Instructor: Joyce A Bamman Final Project Instructions MASK: DIRECTOR (Using the play that I listed for this term. See Final Project Play) For your final project, you will create and defend an overall directorial concept for the play – one that you have not seen in a previously created movie or live production. This should be original and fresh…and YOUR creative work, not someone else’s ideas. Here are the components of your final project: • Complete the Final Directorial Concept Sheet for (play on syllabus) • Using the Concept sheet as your guide, type a concept statement (1-2 pages) in which you explain your ideas for the play and how you think it should be produced. This should be an articulate persuasive piece of writing – your goal is to convince someone that your concept is the best one out there, and that you should be hired as director of the next production of this play. • Select pictures, quotes, musical choices, etc. that are inspired by and work with your concept idea. These can be found by doing basic research – in books, online, or in your own personal stash. Do NOT seek pictures of productions – these should be random images that seem to “fit” the world of the production you’re envisioning. • Submit your typed concept statement, Final Directorial Concept Sheet, and all bits of inspiration (music, pics, etc.) as attachments to this assignment. DO NOT make multiple JPEG submissions- put all images into a document or powerpoint or pdf and then submit.
