National and global teams differ in composition and also in the types of relationships
among members. Global teams are characterized by cultural diversity as compared to national
teams, whose most members comprise of people from the same cultures (Mockaitis, Zander
& De Cieri, 2015). Therefore, global teams tend to have different people who work together
towards a common goal, fostering team work and better handling of responsibilities since
members get to learn from people with different cultures from their own (Butler et al., 2018).
