Choose one of the key concepts listed below as the subject of the signature assignment essay. Introduction

Christians recognize taking sacraments as their rite since the traditional time. They consider
sacraments as the visible symbol of God. They also consider taking sacraments as a channel for
God’s grace on earth. Many denominations receive sacraments, for example, the catholic,
Anglican, Lutheran, Methodists, and many others. Augustine of hippo formulates the definition of
a sacrament as an outward sign of redeeming grace that has been instituted by Jesus Christ
(Megger, 2017). Most of the doctrines, including the Catholics, recognize seven sacraments which
all the participants or the partakers consider. The concept of sacrament taking has been practiced
from the post apostolic age to the medieval age. There many similarities and differences when
comparing sacrament taking in the life of Christianity. Christians also took sacraments during the
middle ages, and the sacramental records were written in Latin. Many ecclesiastical leaders
continue to support the concept is in practice currently.
During the post-apostolic age, that is circa 100 to circa 140. The age demonstrates the
practice of gentile Christianity on practicing taking of sacraments on an extended scale. In this
