English 1302: Freshman Composition II: Diagnostic Essay on LiteraryBackgroundIn this course, we will be studying and analyzing literature from a variety of literary periods representing the genres of poetry, drama, and the short story. In a 2-3-page essay, please address each of the three prompts below. (1) Discuss your background in literary analysis (personal reading, high school, community college, university etc.) and the knowledge you expect to acquire in this course. (2)Discuss how literature challenges you to think critically about yourself and various aspects of the world (socially, culturally, and aesthetically), as well as viewthe world through different lens. (3)Discuss how you feel this literature-based composition course will improve your analytical skills in relation to your current or prospective major, as well as your writing and analytical skills in other courses across the curriculum. This essay should exhibit standard essay format (introductory paragraph and thesis statement, body paragraphs, and conclusion

The aim of this exercise is for the student to take any sport concept as covered in our text (e.g goal setting, anxiety, anger etc) and apply that concept to a sport of their choice to assist an imaginary athlete improve their performance. The length of the paper should be between 4-6 pages double-spaced and reference at least 3 journal articles relevant to their sport. (You only need to cite the references and NOT submit them with the assignment-HOWEVER, you should have the references as I will be asking them from a random sample of students based on their paper). The paper should focus on the athlete's inability and how your application of a PTSP approach will addresses the problem and enhances the athlete's performance.
