Description
Answer this part
Part 4: What are some policies people have suggested for implementing these solutions? (laws, treaties, etc.) How well do these work? What are some benefits/drawbacks of these policies? Who are the various people involved in this issue and how can we incentivize them to change their behavior? (note: different groups require different incentives).

Snowpacks serve as a significant source of water source in the State of California. A
report shows that running out of this source will lead to a 30 percent water shortage in California.
Human history indicates that water is a fundamental commodity for people to survive. Society
requires a sustainable source of water for it to grow economically. The primary source of water
is mainly rainfall. However, water from snowpack on the mountain tops serve great importance
to societies nearby (Sun et al., 2016).
Sustainability and Solution.
Snowpack sustainability is at stake because of the drastic climatic changes. Global
warming is the primary threat to snowpack water sources as it leads to melting away from the
snow and interferes with the flow of water. Research records show that there is an expected 60
percent drop in the next 30 years and a 79 percent drop in the snowpack water by the year 2100,
which is very risky for the state of California. The article on the snowpack report says that there
is no fixing global warming, which means that nothing can be done to stop the snowpack from
melting. However, the melting can be slowed down by reducing too many emissions. Global
warming, which is naturally caused by solar radiation and aerosol's and other human beings'
activities like land use and release of ozone gases, can be reduced through proper measures that
reduce these emissions.
Policy Solutions
There are international policies that advocate for cleaner energy to combat the
greenhouse effect by reducing the number of gases being emitted into the air. Cities are coming
up with new plans as well as improving energ...
