Technological changes in organizations involve invention, innovation, and adoption of
new techniques that change how organizational processes take place. According to Langer,
König, & Fitili (2018), technology is like a two-way sword, which means that it has both the
good and the bad side. The good part of it is that it can improve the efficiency and productivity in
an organization by lowering the cost of production while improving the quality of products and
services. The bad side is that technology comes with risks that can lead to big losses if they
happen. Therefore, changes in technology are being adopted by organizations together with
preventive, protection, and recovery measures to avoid its risks. However, the management in
public organizations has been facing the following challenges handling technological changes.
