Accurate reliability and validity measures of assessments will improve the predictions industrial-organizational psychologists and human resources professionals make for selecting employees. For this assignment, you will apply critical thinking skills and logical reasoning to develop an assessment and selection system. Imagine that a company has been struggling with hiring appropriate employees and your team has been asked to develop a recruitment strategy plan and an assessment and selection system for a particular job.  Select a job. Based on information from the textbook and your team’s research, create a recruiting strategy and an assessment and selection system based on the KSAOs identified from O*NET or a job analysis. Please include the following information: Recruitment Strategy Develop a recruitment strategy for this particular job opening.  Include ideas for recruiting nontraditional and diverse candidates in your recruiting strategy. Assessment and Selection System Identify and describe the important KSAOs and competencies required of a successful employee for the job chosen.  Choose at least three critical KSAOs you want to assess for job selection and placement.  Identify and describe which measurement methods to use for measuring and collecting data.  Evaluate the integrity and usefulness of each measure when deciding which measurements to use (examples include validity, reliability, adverse impact, usability, etc.). The controversy lies in the grey area.KEY POINTReece brings up an often discussed issue in this debate arguing that if we get rid of guns in society it will only take them out of the law abiding citizens' hands while criminals will find a way to get them and keep them. Do you agree?DEFINITION--NRAThe NRA (National Rifle Association) is the largest and most powerful interest group representing gun owners in the U.S. Their PAC contributes heavily to both parties; however, greater portions of their campaign funding have gone to Republicans in recent years.KEY POINTImagine a violent crime that involved the use of a gun. Imagine the people, the setting, the intent, the rage. Now re-imagine the entire scene WITHOUT the presence of the gun. When the gun is removed, does the crime still happen? If you think it still happens, what is the point of gun control? If it does not happen then push for gun control.DEFINITION--CASTLE DOCTRINEIn 2005, Florida passed the Castle Doctrine which says 1) if an individual breaks into your home or occupied vehicle and you think they intend to be violent, you may use force (deadly force) to protect yourself; and 2) the ''duty to retreat'' in any place (so long as you are allowed to be in that place) is removed. This is known as the no obligation to retreat clause.KEY POINTThe two debaters come at this problem from different perspectives. Falcon is concerned about irresponsible people with guns and therefore wants to regulate ownership. Reece focuses on responsible gun owners and the infringement of their liberties if more gun control is enforced. Is there a way for legislators to accommodate both interests?CONCLUSIONPublic safety and individual freedoms are core values for most Americans. This debate is a difficult one because it forces us to choose or preference one over the other. How do you strike a balance between these two?
