Unfinished Discussion:

As discussed in the readings popular culture can be the means of what is currently popular to society, and also it shows an importance of the things that are going on in society. It sublimely shows how the media portrays popular culture, if we really think about it the media and popular culture intertwined with each other, because without the media popular culture doesn’t get broadcasted or shown to the world, as much or even at all. The reading from Daniel P. Franklin goes in depth about how film has been a form of motivation for society depending on the genre of the movie. Personally what I received from the reading is that popular culture from the 1980’s to the 1970’s and now is fairly similar. Simply because there are multiple times today we see sports fans like the fans of Odessa routing and cheering there teams on as if they were Gods. Pop culture when it regards to sports is way for people with the same common interest have bonded without really knowing each other. Sports fans gather together to cheer their team onto victory in hopes of one common goal, which is to come out of the contest victories.
