The book, The Politics of Dissolution, gives an excellent and in-depth knowledge and
history of the American civil war that happened in the 1860s. The battle took center stage with
two different forms under the labels of north and south. It offers the deep reasons and aspects of
the war, including how it came to happen and all factors behind it.
Slavery is considered as a core reason for the rise if the civil war. This belief resulted
from the difference in the views and plans of the federal government concerning the slaves.
Abraham Lincoln was determined to end slavery in the U.Si. However, the plans were met by the
massive resistance from the south that was highly reliant on the slave trade for many years on
labor aspects.
