Abstract
Many companies have embarked on modern technologies in the way they govern and
manage information for informed decision making. However, many still are behind in adapting
to the new and improved techniques. In this work, we are looking at the management of
information in a food manufacturing company. This company has been in operation for many
years, but the method of data storage is very wanting. In this generation of time, they still store
information in hard copy, which may make it very hard to retrieve and use, as there is still the
possibility of displacement. The one that is electronically stored lacks integrity issues. In this
proposal, I am identifying a modern tool that is efficient and reliable for data storage that will
assist in data administration (Eroshkin, Kameneva, Kovkov & Sukhorukov, 2017). It will also
involve explicit knowledge and policies regarding social media use to improve marketing power.

Introduction
For a company to flow well in their daily operations and achieve the set targets, the most
vital part is the way the management makes decisions. Sound systems of information
management provide the leaders and managers at a company with the required data for them to
make correct decisions (Abraham, Schneider & vom Brocke, 2019). The proposal I am giving
seeks to address the issue of poor administration of data and provide better governance of
information in the manufacturing company. We understand that this is a company that has
developed massive networks from the suppliers to the customers as well as the distributors
(Smallwood, 2019). This information network tool will be able to connect the company
management and sales team, suppliers, production and manufacturing unit, supply chain,
distributors, and the customers, to ensure a flow of information. With this, there will be the
availability of crucial information and data needed for informed decisions.
Literature Review
In recent years, there has been an increase in the amount of raw data captured and
attained across organizations. Information governance has become an important area as a result
of the explosion of data in different forms and at different organization levels (Mukherjee, 2019).
According to him, a program for information governance may be able to raise the quality of data.
It may also help in a calculated making of decisions for the company or organization. Cloudbased approaches are also very efficient in risk management. According to Limański, Popławska,
and Drabik (2018), marketing information system development is as a result of generally
accepted need according to the marketing concept. Marketing information involves the data used
in marketing management and in making of various decisions of strategic and operational
marketing through different methods, including social media. This helps in reducing the risks

that may be made during decision making. About information flows, business process and
integration came up with four principles that can assist in integrating the information flow
between operations (Srivastava, 2019). These principles are accessibility, transparency,
granularity, and timelessness. According to him, there is an information gap between and
interrelationship issues between stakeholders and the project. Thus there is a need for a system
that has timely exchange of information, defined responsibilities, and roles, as well as efficient
communication (Adams & Bennett, 2018).
Program and Technology Recommendations
The framework of the program is planned to capitulate a basis for analyzing the company
regarding the company performance and procedures used for the proper execution of the
program. For the plan and structure strategy, there will be development and implementation of a
thorough approach of compliance, which will both put in line the necessary areas of agreement
and risk (Bennett, 2017). This will be in line with the objectives and goals of the company. In
terms of policies and procedures, there will be the establishment of necessary policies and ways
of setting the necessary standards, enforcement as well as guidance to meet risk requirements
and compliance. In terms of information technology and management, there is a proposal for an
established architecture strategy, standards, and portfolio. This involves information governance
tools and capabilities, mobile, social, and cloud capabilities. It will also take into consideration
the company’s hierarchy, a plan for records, storage, and safekeeping schedule, and a catalog of
the company’s particulars that are electronically stored and content repositories (Earley, 2016).
