Safety programs may accomplish their purposes in two primary ways: one focusing on unsafe employee actions and the other on unsafe working conditions.

Design a basic safety program of your choice addressing either purpose and demonstrate how the program would fit into a company's overall Employee Safety, Health, and Wellness strategies.

Select an idea from any of the topics on Employee Safety, Health, and Wellness covered in your reading.

Write a 700- to 1,000-word program in a Microsoft® Worddocument, written in the third person voice, in which you discuss the following:

  • Explain the focus of the design of the safety program.
  • Explain the nature and role of safety, health, and wellness in the safety program.
  • Summarize the economic impact of the safety program.
  • Explain how the safety program integrates into the company's overall Employee Safety, Health, and Wellness strategies.

The focus of this safety program is to ensure that our employee perform their duties in a
manner that does not expose them hazards that may endanger their overall wellbeing. We place a
premium on the safety of our entire workforce. Our commitment to provide a safe and conducive
working environment is the reason for the development of this injury prevention program that
involves the active participation of management, supervisors and employees. It is important for
all employees to identify and eliminate all forms of hazards that may arise during the execution
of our work process. Also, it is important to point out that our basic safety policy strictly
prohibits an employee to violate a safety rule or risk injury or damage to health in the
performance of his or her duties.
It is our organization’s firm belief that the keys to creating a safe workplace are
employees’ compliance to all approved safety rules and identification of safety practices. Also,
line managers are task with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of their team members must
constantly monitor the workplace for unsafe conditions and practices and take immediate action
