Introduction

Most African American people are generations that arose from the Africans who were
used as slaves. They were obtained or raided from wars mostly from the west and central Africa
and, to some extent, eastern and southeastern Africa. Although these African groups were from
different ethnicities, they practiced a common way of life that was different from the Europeans.
After being enslaved in America, they had the standards and beliefs from Europe, which were
forced upon them, making them away with their tribal differences. Between 1861 and 1865, a
Civil War was experienced across the nation and marked a violent conclusion of many years of
diversification.
Brief Description of the North and the South
In the northern part, the climate and the soil favored small farmers than larger plantations.
The abundance of natural resources fueled industries more than in the southern region. As a
result, there was the establishment of cities such as New York, and by 1860, about a quarter of
