Assignment: The focus this week is on narrative essays. Select one of the following topics and write a four (4) paragraph narrative essay.
1. Making a life-changing decision.
2.The job I had that I will never forget.
3. My most memorable academic experience.

3. Create an outline for 4 paragraph (1 introductory paragraph, 2 body paragraphs and 1 concluding paragraph)
4. Write the paragraph to create a draft of the narrative essay.
5. Use the criteria checklist to revise the narrative essay.
Grading: To receive full participation points, u must meet the following criteria:

Narrative Essay Checklist:
Essay Structure:
The essay consists of 4 paragraphs.
The essay begins with an introduction paragraph which includes a thesis statement.
The essay has a 2 body paragraph that provide details/supporting information.
The essay has a conclusion paragraph.
Paragraph Structure:
Each paragraph consists of (at least) 5 sentences.
Every paragraph begins with a topic sentence.
There are at least 3 middle sentences that provide details to support the topic sentence.
The last sentence concludes the paragraph.
Sentences in the Essay:
All sentences are complete (include noun and verb; no fragments etc.)
All sentence are complex (in addition to the noun and verb includes adjectives/adverb etc.)
Use of either 1st or 3rd person point of view.
Punctuation/Spelling:
The first letter of each sentence is capitalized.
Each sentence ends with a period, question marks, or exclamation mark.
Sentences include commas, semi-colons, and/or colons within the sentences to connect ideas within a sentence and to separate clause in a sentence.
The essay is free of spelling errors.
Format/Spelling:
The essay is double-spaced.
The first sentence of each paragraph is indented.
The font is Arial 12 point.
