You're answer should look similar to this outline
E= KE + PE
E = (1/2)mC^(2) + mgz
Power = E/t
Total energy=Potential energy+Kinetic energy E Total = [1/2(mv2)]  - (GMm/r)
Notice the minus sign within the final equation
