The success of every organization highly depends on how effective they can manage their
workforce. In other words, the employees are the heartbeat of every organization because they
are involved in the day-to-day management of the organization. However, despite the importance
of the human workforce, this asset is often not carefully planned, measured, or optimized in most
organizations (Evans & Lindsay, 2013). It, therefore, means that most organizations are not
adequately aware of the current or future gaps that may limit the effective execution of business
strategies. Investing in employees is the foundation of any successful execution of business
strategies. In this case, it is worth noting that an organization must get to understand the essential
roles that are played by its employees in the realization of business goals. There is also a need for
organizations to ensure that there are proper strategies in place to facilitate workforce planning
and management (Evans & Lindsay, 2013). Workforce planning and data-driven decision
making must, therefore, remain top-priorities for every organization.
I work in a service organization that recognizes the need to foster focused workforce
practices such as the ones highlighted in table 4.1. Nonetheless, these practices can further be
integrated within my organization to motivate further and promote employee behavior. For
example, the table indicates that one of the workforces focused practices is to understand critical
factors that drive workforce engagement and motivation. This is critical and can highly help the
organization because it enables the organization to manage and to get to understand its workforce
and the various factors that may motivate them and promote their level of engagement. My
organization can integrate this recommendation to promote employee level of motivation and
engagement further. It is imperative to note that the workforce focused practices highlighted in
the table are majorly aimed at improving the overall behavior of the employees. In this case, any
