Introduction
Different diabetes patients exhibit different forms of the condition. The conditions may
vary between type 1 diabetes, gestational diabetes, diabetes LADA or even type 3 diabetes. All
these forms of diabetes require personalized and specific types of care and approach. This paper
is an analysis/guide on how to approach these varied conditions specifically among new patients.
Identification of target person
The first approach involves the identification of the target population or individual. To
identify a new diabetes patient, a clinician can observer certain specific cues that the patient
exhibits. These cues include increased insulin resistance by the body of the individual, a decrease
in the beta cell functions of the individual, however during its early stages. Also, a family history
of diabetes cases is a crucial cue that a clinician can use to deduce that a new patient may be
susceptible to early-stage diabetes.
Some of the risk factors that new diabetes patients may be exposed to include increased
body weight since the resistance to insulin is promoted by an increase in the fatty tissue of the
individual. Moreover, inactivity among the new patients is a risky affair since higher risks of
