Introduction

According to Senge, a learning organization is an organization that is in the process of
continuous adaptation and improvement. In this context, the organization aims at creating,
acquiring, and transferring knowledge to all sectors and departments in the organization (Serrat,
2017). The paper will discuss learning organizations and how they aim at sustainability,
maintaining their performance, and how such organizations take advantage of the available
opportunities to improve.
Importance Of Becoming A Learning Organization
Organization learning is important for all companies since it can strengthen its operations
a whole lot by improving itself over time by gaining knowledge and transferring the knowledge
within the organization. Through organization learning, a business can achieve sustainability
through the increase in employee satisfaction. Employee satisfaction is improved through the
investment and dedication of time and resources to better learning cultures and implementing
some vulnerabilities in the organizational learning culture (Calhoun & Douglas, 2019). By
improving employee satisfaction, there will be a decrease in the turnover rates, an increase in
employee productivity, and enhanced adaptability while developing leaders. Therefore, such an
organization has ensured the sustainability of labor as a factor of production, an increase in
profits, and improved efficiency. Moreover, a learning institution ensures that employees become
teachers and students hence the exchange of information and skills.
Ways In Which Learning Environment Is Supported
The company supports the learning environment by ensuring that the company has an
adequate supportive infrastructure that aid in training. Through training, an organization can
