job expectancies: a path-goal approach. Pakistan Journal of Commerce & Social
Sciences, 6(2), 357-371.
In this article, the author analyzes the link between leadership behavior and employees'
work expectancies. In assessing this relationship, the author employs a path-goal model in
attempts to inform his results. He also talks of various factors that need leaders' attention in an
organization to attain the organizational vision and set objectives. The underlying concepts that
the author has used in this study include the path-goal model. According to the author, this
framework can apply to any situation, provided that leaders' efficiency aligns with the set
managerial targets. The researcher used a sample size of 200 managers, comprising of managers.
He did not use a random sampling method but sampled them from four telecom firms in
Pakistan. From his findings, he deduced that leadership behavior, indeed, influenced workers'
hopes. He also reported that situational factors, including stress, role confusion, and desire to
