West Coast University MeSH Term Search & Coding Sheet Summary Table

West Coast University

Question Description

I need an explanation for this Health & Medical question to help me study.

Coding sheet information is often in a table format allowing the researcher to quickly compare findings from multiple articles.

  • Conduct a MeSH term search using key words from Assignment 1 that you used to create your research question.
  • Once you have completed a MeSH term search, you will get a list of published articles. Review them to find four that you will use for your final project.
  • Save the full text from all four articles and read them carefully. Make notes on key points.
  • Create a Coding Sheet Summary table using information from the four published articles that you chose.
  • Include your research question in the assignment so it is clear why the four articles were chosen for review.

Your paper should document in detail each step listed above. All elements listed on the example coding sheet (below) are required for each of the four articles you review.

HA 535 – Health Research Methods Assignment Two Example First, conduct a MeSH search using terms from assignment one that relate to the study question you chose. Next, find four articles on your topic from your search. Save them and review them carefully. Finally, create a Coding Sheet Summary table that lists the coding sheet elements from the four articles in a table. Should governments limit the on-counter prescription of antibiotics? iv. What is the effectiveness of people training on reducing Antibiotic resistance? v. What are the effects of self-medication on antimicrobial resistance? FIVE POSSIBLE RESEARCH QUESTIONS It is clear that most of the topics lie on the issue of antibiotic resistance and the mitigation strategies available to people with this condition. Therefore, all my research topics will fall on this theme. I am passionate about the issue of antibiotic resistance and therefore I would wish to write my research paper on this topic. i. What are the different mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and how can they be mitigated? ii. How has the government and other stakeholders played a role in reducing the prevalence of antibiotic resistance in the U.S? iii. How has self-medication contributed to the issue of antibiotic resistance iv. is banning of over-the-counter prescription for antibiotics and effective measure to reduce the prevalence of antibiotic resistance v. What factors contribute to the rising levels of antibiotic resistance in the U.S? TOPIC SELECTED FOR MY FINAL PROJECT What factors contribute to the rising levels of antibiotic resistance in the U.S and and how can this health issue be mitigated? This topic is relevant not only in the U.S but also in other nations owing to the high antibiotic resistance prevalence. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2020), more than 2.8 million people get antibiotic-resistant in the U.S. Also, more than 35, 000 people die every year due to antibiotic resistance. Thus, finding a solution to this issue is a public health priority. However, this issue cannot be resolved without a clear understanding of the factors that result to antibiotic resistance. For this reason, this topic is relevant. The 5 goals of the research topic include determining the factors that result to antibiotic resistance and finding ways of mitigating these factors. 6 3 References Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
