Poor Database Maintenance
Over the past, volumes of data have increased, and so have the ways of using the data.
One example poorly-maintained database is one that is poorly normalized. This involves
databases that are designed without putting into consideration the most basic normalization
rules. Each database is supposed to undergo normalization to third-normal form, because this
represents the system that represents entities, and whose accomplishments are best balanced
