ST PETERSBURG COLLEGE

Question Description

I’m studying for my Business class and don’t understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?

Answer in 250 words each and must include one the reference material used for research for each post .

1) Research and report on any global business leader or a political figure (not US). What is his/her approach to negotiation? What is his/her observable emotional intelligence?

-----------------

2) What can you and fellow employees do to improve the outcomes of your organization (or another local organization) through improved understanding, actions, and outreach to the Hispanic community? Consider values to all stakeholders (anyone who has a vested interest). Name the organization you have chosen.

-------------------

3)What are specific issues women experience in business? How do the skills women generally bring to the workforce differ from those of men?

--------------------

4)Research examples of successful diversity initiatives. Why were these initiatives successful? How did the initiatives help the employees? How did it help the company?

How does a multicultural workforce improve a company's productivity?

----------------------

5)Discuss the problem of severe unemployment in many African countries due to economic downturns and civil strife.

For example, in South Africa, a third of the workforce is out of work. Exploding populations add thousands daily to the labor market when there are only hundreds of job openings. Although tourism is a great hope, civil unrest often keeps foreign visitors away. Public sector jobs are limited. Sometimes job opportunities are restricted by labor practices and unions, as well as by a lack of skilled applicants. Management is often overpaid, whereas hourly workers are inadequately compensated. In African economies where labor is plentiful and skills scarce, the emphasis should be placed upon revising restrictive labor laws and regulations, as well as encouraging more skill training and entrepreneurialism.

-----------------------

6)What are some forces operating in the North American society that reduces the likelihood of becoming a more high-synergy society? Do the effects of regionalization and globalization in North America contribute to or detract from synergy within the society?

1. Research and report on any global business leader or a political figure (not the US).
What is his/her approach to negotiation? What is his/her observable emotional
intelligence?
I researched on Jack Ma, he is a Chinese business leader and the co-founder of Alibaba group of
companies. Ma being a business and a political leader has his approach to negotiations. He
strongly believes in negotiations as a way of solving disputes or coming up and promoting peace
to the people. Ma believes in peace and strongly supports anything that would lead to the
promotion of peace.
Emotional intelligence is one of the main ingredients of making a successful leader, Jack Ma's
emotional intelligence is observed with the fact that he uses skills of having a high IQ while
handling issues. He does not deal with issues lightly instead he looks at them in a deeper way and
meaning. He also has the quality of self-empathy that he shows to others, one recent case is when
he donated funds to the affected victims of the pandemic that is now causing and taking lives.
These are some of his characteristics which plays a significant role in shaping his leadership skills
as well as making him stand out and succeed in his position as a global business leader (Boyatzis,
2019).
He also has carried along with the emotional intelligence of always motivating others. In most of
his interviews, he is always encouraging others not only to work hard but to work smart to achieve
their goals. In mentioning his emotional intelligence, the fact that he has self-regulations cannot
be under looked, Ma has proven to have self-regulation on himself and knows when to do
something an when not to do them

(or another local organization) through improved understanding, actions, and
outreach to the Hispanic community?
My fellow employees in improving the outcomes of our organization, they need to work on
ensuring that they work on business culture, this is simply to ensure that our organization is unique
in its ways and operates to meet our given objectives and goals. For this to happen, the workers'
interests are also being well taken care of for instance by using a reward system to its best workers
to motivate them and make them be able to work with a lot of passion. Business culture is normally
is in most cases steered by the top le...
