Introduction
Managing communication and Emotional Intelligence” was first coined in 1990 by Peter
Salovey and John Mayer. Emotional intelligence is understanding and managing oneself, and on
the other hand understanding and managing others too. It has been proved that those that succeed
in work are the ones who pose emotional intelligence. It is applied in the fact that, Apart from it
being a key ingredient to success, it has been proved to protect one's IQ in ones day to day life.
Self-awareness
Self-awareness is anticipating how others look at you, how you evaluate yourself from
others, and your actions according to collective beliefs and values. It is not a final point but rather
a path on which one understands him/herself better. In dealing with self-awareness, emotional
intelligence has been seen to be a component. The two work hand in hand in complementing one
