Discussion 1: Research question and design for the teenage smoking study.
The following is the research question that will help to address the problem of teenage
smoking. What factors in the community introduce teenagers to smoking? This research question
will help community leaders to research on the factors that influence teenage smoking. By
identifying specific factors, they can develop an effective plan based on the root cause of the
situation. According to CIRT, a research question must be achievable. The selected research
question is achievable because it is focused on the problem. That is, it is possible to collect data
on what makes teenagers smoke to analyze the data and discuss the outcomes.
