identify and satisfy the market niches that exist. People’s needs are insatiable and center on
satisfying their needs using the most cost-effective measures available. If entrepreneurs identify
this niche and center their business on how to satisfy them most cost-effectively, they get a
constant market base of customers ensuring the longevity of the venture. The inspiration behind
lift began in Zimmer’s college education when a fellow student told him the rising population of
the city and low infrastructure could lead to harsh future repercussions. Also, during one of
Zimmer’s drives from upstate New York to the city, he noticed there were numerous empty seats
around him. These factors led Zimmer to develop a passion for improving the transportation
system by introducing more advanced technologies. He started a car-sharing business on his
drives home over the school break, which created a viable source of income (Raz, 2019, 9:52).
