The case study indicates that a participative management style results in improved
responsiveness to customers’ needs, increased accountability, and more innovative
solutions to business situations than a hierarchical “command and control” structure. Do
you agree or disagree? Explain.
I tend to agree with this statement because, indeed, participative leadership is a more
productive leadership style than a hierarchical “command and control” structure, as highlighted
in the case study. Participative leadership includes all employees in the critical decision-making
process (Gill, 2010). This inclusion is critical because it motivates the employees and stimulates
