The book concentrates on the aspects of the ministry of Jesus and his personal life. These
aspects include who was Jesus, the reason he came, and what he left behind. To begin with, the
writer represents the Jesus he believed he knew throughout his childhood and youth. He claims
that god was normally a remote and uncaring being. Besides, Jesus was not more than teacher
who obliged human being to be kind and loving to one another. Nevertheless, with time, Yancey
realized that Jesus was a representation of god in human flesh.
