THE ELEGANT UNIVERSE
Brian Greene an American theoretical physicist was born on February 9, 1963, in New
York City. Greene has served as a professor at Columbia University since 1996 and the chairman
of the World Science Festival since 2008. Greene is widely known through his book The Elegant
Greene describes the challenges that exist concerning modern physics. He also highlights
the discordance of Einstein's theory of quantum and relativity. He further takes notes of the
elements of the movement of light, gravity, and how particles react at a subatomic height, that
hinder physicist from coming up with a standard theory of how the universe operates. In the
twentieth century, physicists primarily focused on describing large and small scale cosmos. In
his book The Elegant Universe, Greene describes the purpose and the objective of superstring
theory, which brings together the aspects of general relativity laws and quantum mechanics.
Superstring theory describes the matters in the universe as small combination of energy,
unlike dots. In all the theories, only superstring theory offers a platform for bringing together
general relativity and quantum aspects to deepen the knowledge of how the universe operates.
