a) F = friction

F = u*mg

F = 0.31*9.8*11 = 33.41 N

Write an expression using variables provided for force applied by student

b) energy required = F*d

E= f*d

E = 33.41*9.1 = 304 J

c) power = E/t = 304/8.8 = 34.54 W
